Mission Statement

The Mission of Asbury United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.


Our vision is to passionately serve in the world because God so loved the world.   



Attend either of our two Sunday worship services. A traditional worship is held at 8:30 a.m., and a praise worship service is held at 11 a.m.

Sunday school for youth and adults is at 9:45 a.m. (except during summer months). See our online calendar for all upcoming events and activities.

Ample parking is available in front and adjacent to the church at 18th Street and Mississippi Boulevard, Bettendorf.

office at 355-5218 to leave your name, if you are willing to help. Please consider
volunteering for an hour or two to help make our church look its best for
members and visitors as we celebrate the Easter season.

The Grief Share program is scripture based and will provide heartfelt support and encouragement.  We will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences.  You will be welcomed by a warm and caring grief share team who understand what you are going through and want to help.

March 22nd until May 31st.


You are invited to participate in the entire 11 weeks or just come when you can.  Come give it a try.  We would love for you to join us.

Our UMC History

The people of Asbury United Methodist Church are part of the second largest Protestant denomination in the United States. Our worldwide connection includes approximately 12.8 million members. The United Methodist Church was formed when the Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren Church merged in 1968, but we trace our heritage back to the movement begun in 1729 in England by John and Charles Wesley.
