YOU'RE INVITED

Attend either of our two Sunday worship services. A traditional worship is held at 8:30 a.m., and a praise worship service is held at 11 a.m.

Sunday school for youth and adults is at 9:45 a.m. (except during summer months). See our online calendar for all upcoming events and activities.

Ample parking is available in front and adjacent to the church at 18th Street and Mississippi Boulevard, Bettendorf.

Good News! June, 2017

GRACE EVENT # 3
JUNE 6th 10:30-2:30
On the 6th day, God created animals and on the 6th of June, we will board a bus and head to Down by the Creek animal sanctuary in Long Grove, Iowa.

This will be a “hands-on” day: groom a pony, hold a rabbit, feed the ducks and learn the skill of training a dog/puppy, etc. This animal sanctuary is a safe

home for a variety of birds/animals and we’ll learn the stories about their rescue. Pack a picnic lunch, invite your friends and step on the bus at 10:30 a.m.

New Offering Option

Grief Share

The Asbury Grief Share Team is offering two groups of grief share classes this fall.  

Tuesday, September 12th                     10:30am-12:00pm  

Wednesday, September 13th                 5:30pm-7:00pm 

Both sets of classes will run for eleven weeks.  Feel free to join either group when your schedule permits.  You are welcome to attend any or all of the classes during the eleven weeks.  

The Grief Share program is scripture based and will provide heartfelt support & encouragement.  We will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences.  You will be welcomed by a warm and caring grief share team who understand what you are going through and want to help.

Our UMC History

The people of Asbury United Methodist Church are part of the second largest Protestant denomination in the United States. Our worldwide connection includes approximately 12.8 million members. The United Methodist Church was formed when the Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren Church merged in 1968, but we trace our heritage back to the movement begun in 1729 in England by John and Charles Wesley.
